Morning all, been a bit rubbish at writing a blog daily, no surprises there.
Just wanted to alert you all to a charity event i am hosting this evening at Sunnyfields Farm, just on the outskirts of Southampton
It’s all been put together a bit last minute but we have put a band together and rehearsed a set of at least 20 tracks and will feature some of the best singers in the area, should be a fabulous night and it’s going to be a real family occasion so you are welcome to bring kids.
here are the details

I suppose I should actually blog about music at some point eh?, As I’m on the train to London to meet with Warner Chappell to discuss the 2 albums I’m working on this year, now is as good a time as any.
Settled down with Ritazza coffee, not bad, better than train muck! Carrying memory stick packed full of tunes as well as laptop. The plan today is to start compiling the track list for my artfulmark? album. Can’t reveal too much about it apart from the fact that it’s nearly finished and it will feature some of my best collabs from the last few years, and honestly, it’s pretty damn special
stuffed with so many great artists and songwriters… I’m itching to start sharing it.
The next stage of the process will be to secure deals with all the guests and to decide whether to put it out independently or sign it to a major. It will all depend on finance as always.
The second album is In it’s infacy but taking shape very quickly, tis a little more unusual, compared to what I’ve done before, but nonetheless a very exciting project. More news on this as and when
I’ll keep you informed, will put some tracks up soon

Good walkabout today, took me from home to Brockenhurst Golf Club, just over 10 miles and feeling pretty good.
As I was walking, and listening to Jason Mraz and Marc Broussard, I started thinking about the idea of doing 100k (62 miles) in 24 hours in October for www.pilgrimbandits.com. Although I’m no where near up to fitness, I reckon it’s gonna be doable if i think about it. I started to formulate a plan.
After doing the Sahara I know my areas of weakness are aching hips, hamstrings and back, so I’m gonna start working on those at the gym, and worst of all chaffing and blisters.
At the rate I was walking today I could do the challenge in 18 hours so that gives me time to have a short break every hour. During this time I’m gonna change footwear and rub Vaseline into the blister spots so they don’t give me a problem, and i can have a good drink of water and stretch for a bit too so i don’t stiffen up. Sounds like a plan.
May be a good idea to have some ibuprofen on board too.
Stay tuned for the progress, I’m looking for sponsorship for gear if anyone is interested, and i’m looking for personal sponsorship at this site too, please give generously, it’s for a great cause.

…This blog to twitter thing works!
Hopefuly my Blog posts should now be tweeted automagicaly…. well…. are they??? huh?
Done enough work today and need a break so I am gonna go for a wander in the forest.
In October I have signed up to do a crazy challenge with http://www.pilgrimbandits.com (of which i am a trustee) which involves a 100km hike in 24 hours.
Considering that’s more than twice what I have ever hiked before in a day, on top of the fact I haven’t done much walking since the Sahara Challenge last year, I need to get my ever fatter arse in gear and start training!
please sponsor me here

Now blogging from the iPhone, that’s more like it! Still can’t decide on a theme though, they’re all a bit bland. Does anyone have any suggestions hints or tips?
Off to the studio in a mo to comp the vocals on another rock track for the album (still no band name) this time featuring Jodie Elms playing the vocalchordian.
I’m looking forward to meeting the potential musicians for the band on Friday! Put the 26th of August in your diaries, I’m hoping to showcase some of the stuff @ Organic Sessions, Sunnyfields, Hampshire.
Anyone that fancies an evening listening to a superb line up of vocalists in an unusual setting, also keep the 29th July free for the first Organic Sessions night. Will post the URL with more details when the website is finished
Let’s see how long i keep this up for. (that didn’t sound very confident i know)
Day 2 of the blog, notable things so far, smallest Hill eating Rice Crispies like they are going out of fashion, joined at the table by Holly, Doo Doo and Lion and Peppa Pig is on the TV entertaining us both.
I had to sneak out 10 minutes ago and bury the 2nd mouse that fell prey to the (more successful than expected) mouse traps I had to lay after finding mouse droppings on the girls’ breakfast table.
Can i please take this opportunity to apologise in advance for all the grammatical errors and bad spelling that will appear on this blog. It’s bad enough having to write in the first place (never been a fan) let alone be self conscious of mistakes in the text. This is just an exercise to get into the flow of it as, believe it or not, I am doing some fairly interesting stuff at the moment, that someone may want to hear about lol
I suppose the next step is to sort out the look of the blog!
Alrighty then,
So as I seem to be tweeting so much more these days and have kicked Facebook and Myspace in to touch I am going to try really hard to get this blog going so people can figure out what the heck i’m doing with myself these days.
No I didn’t retire, not fully anyway!
Not gonna write anything of note right now because I am grieving over a dead mouse and being dive-bombed by mosquitoes.
It’s just not conducive to successful blogging. ( i just learned how to spell conducive, we never stop learning eh?)
what on earth is a trackback??? I’m way out of my depth here
